Czech Speech Prosody
During my Fulbright year in the Czech Republic (2003-2004), I was generously granted access to digitized recordings of natural spoken Czech. These recordings were part of a small corpus of spontaneous speech gathered by the Czech linguist Dr. Marie Krčmová of Masaryk University in Brno. The digitization was provided by Jiří Rambousek. I am involved in an ongoing analysis of these materials, focusing on the melodic and rhythmic aspects.
